Educational seminars begin on Tuesday morning with four, four-hour long sessions covering topics related to facilities, guest services and risk management. These four-hour education sessions give you an in-depth, thorough presentation and discussion on the material being covered.

All educational seminars are Outdoor Hospitality Education Program (OHEP)-approved and presented by nationally recognized speakers and leaders in the industry.

Successful Park Operations Tour (SPOT)

Monday, November 2- 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (times are approximate)

Join us we tour parks and hospitality operations in the area to give you new ideas you can take back home and apply at your park.

Participate in either the Large to Mega Park Tour (Tour A) or the Small to Medium Park Tour (Tour B). On either tour you will visit four parks in and around Daytona Beach, and be back in time for dinner. Learn from parks about what makes them successful, gain ideas that you can take home and use in your own park, brainstorm how to adapt something that “can’t work at your park” to something that could, and spend the day with your peers as you explore parks in the area.

How to Think On Your Feet to Impress Your Guests

Overview
As RV park and campground operators, the ability to think on your feet and solve pressing problems quickly is essential. Innovation and ideas can be low tech and high touch and not just high tech and no touch. This presentation focuses on how to hone the part of the brain that can come up with great ideas so you can be more innovative and resourceful, allowing you to win over new guests and make your existing base say, “wow!”

  • Learn specific techniques to come up with ideas quickly and easily . . . and how to teach these lessons to your staff.
  • See problems as opportunities to shine by solving them for your guests and be better equipped to handle change—and drive change.
  • Explore how to be even more resourceful and find ways to do more with less and make do with limited resources.
Biography
Lee Silber is a surf shop owner who became the best selling author of 21 books and an award-winning speaker known for taking topics and bringing them to life. He started his first small business at the age of eleven and has since founded five others including a chain of retail stores and a corporate training company with clients that include the San Diego Padres, Marriott, Petco, Lucent, HP, GM, GE, and Proctor and Gamble. In addition, Silber has hosted his own radio talk show, was featured in USA Today and appeared on CNN.
