This 2008 National Operations and Economic Survey of the RV Park and Campground Industry is the 11th in a series of biennial surveys that the ARVC/Foundation has conducted since 1986. The 2008 survey was conducted almost entirely online between April and June 2008 among a sample of approximately 1,200 ARVC members. Of these, 410 responded at least partially to the survey, producing a response rate of 33%. So that campgrounds/parks can best utilize this data to benchmark their parks against others, the findings in the report are presented by park size categories.
The findings of the 2008 Operations Survey enable ARVC members to:
- Track industry trends and standards over time
- Benchmark your park against those of similar size
- Provide information to financial institutions for securing loans
- Provide data to address local regulatory issues
- Provide responses to questions from the media.
