Education >Park Operators On Tour (POOT)
One of ARVC's most popular hands-on learning programs is the annual Park Operators on Tour program held in conjunction with the InSites Convention.
While you're at the convention to take in all that InSites and the Expo have to offer your business, why not take a tour of several of the area's most successful operations? Each year, park operators near the hosting city open their gates to fellow members interested in seeing how other parks are run. This two-day classroom on wheels takes you inside the operations, with guided tours and Q&As with the park owners/managers, overnight accommodations at a hotel, as well as local attractions.
2008 Tour: Nashville , TN ( dates to be determined)
A literal classroom on wheels, no InSites event would be complete without a Park Operators on Tour program. This two-day event by motor coach is hosted by Bob MacKinnon of MacKinnon Campground Consulting. This event affords members the opportunity to see how other parks operate, to ask questions of park management on-site, and to participate in structured group discussions on the drive between locations.
Registration covers the motor coach transportation, lunch and dinner on the first day, lodging accommodations the first night, and breakfast and lunch on the second day.
