The ARVC National Issues Conference
The ARVC National Issues Conference will be held in Washington, DC April 28 – 29, 2009 with a focus on the priorities of the new Administration and the impact on our industry. We are hoping to have the meetings at the brand new National Visitor Center at the foot of the Capitol.
I say “hoping” because we are waiting to be notified – no requested meetings in the National Visitor Center were being confirmed until sometime in February. Presentations and discussion will include a general economic outlook, focus on tourism and recreation, a RV industry outlook plus energy and sustainability issues and ideas, small business legislative and regulatory issues with John Satagaj, President of the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC), the Congressional tax agenda, healthcare reform and transportation.
We will also be giving out our National Service Award and Federal RVer of the Year Award. This year’s candidate for the RVer of the Year Award is Chief Justice Clarence Thomas. We will be sending out information on registration and hotel reservations within the next few weeks, but please reserve the above dates for what promises to be an extremely interesting and informative conference.
